Magazine Luiza has joined the trend of offering free navigation in its mobile application, joining a group formed by brands such as Bradesco, Netshoes, Mercado Livre, iFood, Liberty Seguros, among others. Beginning this August, users of Claro, Oi, Vivo and TIM will no longer spend their data packages when they navigate within the retail network app. Who will pay the bill for the teles will be Magazine Luiza, in a business model known as reverse data collection. The viability of the agreement with the operators was made by MUV in a technical partnership with Datami.
Magazine Luiza’s app accumulates more than 6 million downloads. In addition to free shipping, it offers free shipping to consumers or withdrawal at the nearest store, as well as several features that make the sales process easier, such as one-click purchase.
In the balance of the second quarter, the company recorded a record profit in its history (R $ 72 million), attributed to its digital transformation process, which includes the appreciation of the mobile channel.
